Creating spaces where youth truly feel they belong, we reimagined three NGO centres into community wellness hubs for mindfulness and connection. Grounded in in-depth research, we engaged more than 100 young people aged 12 to 24, along with social workers and other stakeholders, through interviews, surveys, and design thinking workshops. This participatory approach shaped human-centric programmes and thoughtful spatial designs. These centres now offer a vital refuge, like one teen shared, “My family fights all day that I can hear it in my room. Here, I can talk to people and find comfort.” Together, we co-created environments that nurture healing, restore calm, and help youth feel seen and supported.
